What ACLS covers

ACLS builds on BLS and moves into the management of cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, stroke and peri-arrest arrhythmias. You work the algorithms, run the rhythms, manage the airway and lead a resuscitation team through a megacode.

It assumes you already have solid BLS skills and can read an ECG — ACLS is where those become decisions under pressure.

Skills session or blended learning?

The ACLS skills session is for providers who have already completed the AHA HeartCode ACLS online module and need the hands-on portion and megacode signed off. Bring your completion certificate.

ACLS blended learning bundles the AHA online module with the in-person skills session — the right choice if you have not started the coursework, or if your employer wants the whole thing arranged in one go.

ACLS renewal and recertification

An AHA ACLS card is good for two years. Renewing before it lapses is the same two routes as a first certification — the skills session if you have done the HeartCode module, blended learning if you want the module and the hands-on session arranged together.

Not sure which you need, or how long you have left on your card? Call 302-470-2601 and we will tell you before you book.

ACLS for your unit or agency

With 5 or more providers inside a 50-mile radius of Milford, DE, ACLS blended learning drops to $260 per person and the skills session to $100 per person, run at your facility.

That works well for emergency departments, urgent-care groups, EMS agencies and surgical teams that need to re-certify several staff on the same cycle without losing them all to travel on the same day.

Questions

ACLS FAQs

Do I need BLS before ACLS?

Yes. ACLS assumes current, competent BLS skills — high-quality CPR and AED use are tested inside the ACLS course itself. If your BLS card has lapsed, book that first.

How much does ACLS cost?

An ACLS skills session is $120 per person and ACLS blended learning is $280 per person. At 5 or more attendees within 50 miles of Milford, DE those drop to $100 and $260 per person on-site.

Where can I take ACLS near me in Delaware or Maryland?

We run ACLS across the Delmarva Peninsula — Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware and the Maryland Eastern Shore — either at our Milford, DE location or on-site at your facility. Call 302-470-2601 with your town and we will confirm.

What is the difference between the skills session and blended learning?

The $120 ACLS skills session covers only the in-person portion, and assumes you have already completed the AHA HeartCode ACLS online module. ACLS blended learning at $280 includes that online module plus the skills session.

How long is ACLS certification valid?

Two years from the date of completion, in line with AHA policy. Renew before it lapses and you can book either route.

Can you run ACLS at our facility?

Yes. With 5 or more attendees within 50 miles of Milford, DE, ACLS blended learning is $260 per person and the skills session is $100 per person on-site. Call 302-470-2601 to schedule.

Do I need to bring anything to a skills session?

Bring your HeartCode ACLS completion certificate and a current BLS card. Without the online module completed, we cannot sign off the skills portion.
